KLOV/VAPS,

Still looking for any help getting a complete Robotron Wire Harness. I have all the boards, but no wire harness to go with them.

If somebody can offer to build me one or sell me a spare to send to California, 93555, that will make my day.

Even if its not a "complete harness", I do have the technical sense to build the rest with the guidance of the schematic diagrams. However, I do not feel confident building my own from scratch (Not yet at least).

Or, can you direct me where, or which KLOV'er I can contact that may have one.

Thanks

These aren't easy to find these days, keep an eye out for Stargate as well as it's almost a perfect match (including the control panel section, which is why I say Stargate instead of others like Joust which would also be a great starting point). I've found Stargate is generally easier to find and I've used these a couple times.

I have a good chunk of original wiring (maybe 75-80%), but I suspect it's from a cocktail as the power section to the PCB's is too short.

So, are you telling me that Stargate's Wire Harness system is the same?? I thought there are a few wire differences (power) that connect to different pins on certain boards (maybe widget board).

I have a working Stargate in my garage with original configuration, so if your telling me I can create another wire harness with the Stargate I have for Robotron that is awesome!!!

Can anybody confirm or deny this claim?? I could look at the schematic diagrams to confirm that, but it will take me quite of a bit of time to do so.

Thanks for the reply!

Just change the power connection to ROM board (jumper one wire) . The control panel connection on the widget is identical, but at least on the ones I've had, the connector to the control panel needs to be changed from Male to Female (I just did that last night) and the stargate is a 12 pin connector and the Robotron is a 15 (for the power to the lights).

Then you have to jumper the Power wires (Yellow and white) for the control panel buttons from the coin door harness. I can send you pic's, not sure they'd be clear enough to help, but those were the only changes I had to make (I've done this at least once or twice before).

Attached pics of the power connector to ROM pcb with the jumper wire to the extra pin for Robotron.

Wow, this is mind blowing!!!

Thanks so much. I guess I need to focus on getting a Control Panel "stand in" to swap with my Stargate.

From my measurements they are about the same width (24 1/4" or so). I might build my own just to make it work faster as you mentioned for a Wire harness, finding a Robotron control panel are not easy to come by.

Anybody have a Robotron Control Panel Frame for sale?? I can do without the joysticks for now as buying 8-way joysticks from generic brands are easy to come by.

Thanks again!!!
