WTB: Repair service or... 100% working ms. pacman 19" monitor drop in replacement

Looking for someone to repair my ms. pacman monitor (local) or... looking to buy a working 19" drop in replacement for my G07 Electrohome, or a working chassis. Need a decent price shipped to 02451 in MA

share with us the problems with your monitor, and better yet post a couple of pictures.

someone may be able to talk you through it. Or diagnose it better.

monitor problems

it needs a cap kit and a flyback and probably a new h width coil. The colors are wrong, it takes a while to warm up, picture moves from right to left for 5 min then stops and there is a vertical hiccup or bump on the right hand side of the screen. It recently appeared to need degaussing as well. The colors may be a board issue but i cant even be sure with the amount of monitor problems i have. I have tried adjust sooo many things but it never gets better.

If you don't want to repair it yourself ship the monitor boards off to Chad at www.arcadecup.com

But... if you're handy with a soldering iron you can pick up a cap kit from Bob Roberts and breathe some new life into it.

Lots of people can fix that chassis for you if you need it.

I myself charge $50 + parts + shipping both ways to do a G07 chassis. It won't help if the problem is in the tube or the game pcb, but at least you'll know the chassis is perfect...

Sending out for repair

well the reason I'm hesitant to send it out is because it cost, at arcadecup for example, $110 plus shipping to repair. I've seen this board sell here and on byoac for 65 and 75 and have seen a full g07 monitor on byoac go for 65 plus shipping (all working). So, I am trying to see if anyone had one that I could purchase rather than wait for repairs and spend more. Also, I'm not particularly good with a soldering iron.

Every time I post about this monitor the common response is to "fix it yourself" with a cap kit but im just trying to see if anyone has a monitor they want to sell.

You can open up the search a little by seeing if someone is selling a working G07 chassis instead of the whole monitor.

A working chassis is pretty easily swapped in, even by someone without much repair experience.

Pretty much a couple of bolts and 5 or 6 connections to make. (maybe a wire to strip and attach with a wire nut for the monitor ground to neck board).

Good luck-
Kerry
