Reflow the solder joints and it should be good to go. Are you sure the problem is because of the filter board?

Some hack got to the board before I bought the machine and screwed it up big time. I reflowed the joints but still having issues. The board has slight damage on one corner (dropped etc.)

If you want the game to be reliable just take the filter board out and do away with all those connectors. The filter board is pinned out straight through so its a pretty easy wiring job.
