WTB: Punch-Out PCB, Power Supply and more

Just picked up a Punch-Out and i need a power supply. also need the blue punch button.

update: this is looking worse and worse. the cpu in this board set that i have has some corrosion near one of the ribbon cables. this is probably a long shot but does anyone have a parts board or incomplete punch-out board set?

model# CHPI-02-CPU

Your in a long line for PO power supplies..lol

Im looking too and I think two other people

I used a regular switcher in the mean time

You could buy Molex ends and make a harness

or what I did was take the PS and open it up

release the molex connectors that are clipped into the PS side
release the wires from the connectors that connect to the PS PCB and just tie the grey wires (grounds) to ground on the new PS
and the reds the same on the positive

Blue wire is the 24v for the coin counter.. the service switch will credit the game

There was a KO button on E-bay recently, dunno if its still on

From Crazykong.com

http://www.crazykong.com/manuals/PunchOut.man.pdf

Look at P.17

The Punchout PS is mounted on the PCB cage

Remove it and then remove the cover on the PS

The two molex plugs (9p and 12p) are plugged into the PS board

Unplug them, and un clip the molex plugs from the PS metal side

Then using a pin extractor or small screw driver remove the wires from the plug that went to the PS board

This will leave you with several grey wires and red wires

GREY= Negative DC
RED = Positive DC +5v

If this is temporary (like me), try to tie them together without damage and make a solid connection for all of the wires.

Be sure to adjust your universal power supply to +5 or close. I usually try to set it for +5.10 or so to compensate for load

Recheck that its still +5 after you get it working

The service switch will work for credits

Hope this helps

thats the problem. there is no power supply. thats what i need. ha.

i see the molex plugs going to the board harness. suppose i can wire in a switcher to that?

Lol..hmmmm

Yup.. get the corresponding Molex plugs and pins

If you havent done this before, there is a crimper for these pins or you can lightly crimp them with regualt crimpers and solder them

I solder al of mine, even with the tool

The manual (p17) shows the layout. I have pictures of the plugs from the PS and can help after you get the molex plugs.
