I'm looking for any type of project pinball. something that most collectors wouldn't even want to try to restore. I would like to have something fully working but I'm open to ideas.

Also looking for other dirty cheap pins in the ia/il area

Hmmm... I'm confused. First sentence says "I'm looking for any type of project pinball. something that most collectors wouldn't even want to try to restore", but then you follow it up with "I would like to have something fully working".

Interested in a Bally Lost World? (note, this is NOT Jurassic Park Lost World or Escape From The Lost World). Pretty good condition, boards repaired, but not working (power supply? other?). $600

Interested in a Williams Strike Zone (2 player em)? Pretty good condition. Not working. $250.

I'm in Evanston (just north of Chicago). I can send you pics of the Strike Zone this weekend. You can see pics of the Lost World here:

i can vouch for joe, hes worth the roadtrip just for the grand tour of joeland( aka frickin games everywhere heh) ive been fortunate enough to do some deals with joe, as well as go over there to play on game night one year, awesome dude you will not be dissappointed.

THe prob hunting fo rpins in this area is that theres a TON of competition, your not going to find a $50 pin, they do not exist.

Yes, I guess that is kind of a misleading sentence. For example I picked up a Millionaire pin that has terrible cosmetic damage. Works great and is really fun to play. For someone that wants to restore pins it would be a money pit and pointless.

Also just picked up a fully working awesome condition Playmatic Rio, with a few broken plastics and one missing plastic that would be hard to find. Guy didn't want it and couldn't sell it as a few were scared of it being a Spanish Pinball.
Understand what I'm saying?

I understand , wants oddball games that may need shopping or cosmetic work, but that work and are cheap. But doesn't want games that have been worked on by someone's cousins friends brother the electrician and now it's a basket case. I've bought a few like this myself, wish I had some more of them.some of the most fun I have had in this hobby is putting back together some off brand game that nobody wanted.good luck with the search.

I have a Stern Dracula pin that mostly works. There is no sound or display but you can play it. Play field is worn and backglass has some flaking. I have an extra mpu board that supposedly works.

I am in NJ but travel to MD often.

Price is really good... FREE..
