I would like to get a good condition shifter for Pole Position. The one I have has a cracked ring at the base.
Anyone have one to sell?

If it is the ring that goes around the shifter, that is a separate piece and is all you need to replace.
(looks like attached pic)

I've got a whole shifter assembly you can have for free... And I'm local.

Condition? Dunno. Will have to dig out tomorrow. But the price is right. ;)

Joe, how hard will it be to take the shifter apart and show me the piece when you come to pick it up? I could measure it, and get specs on having it reproduced. My company specializes in CNC machining, and works with many vendors to where a punch and die could make these, probably...

If it's easy, let's do that, and then I'll let you guys know what it would cost for repro metal ones.

I'm down for one of those. I have a busted one I could send you, it's missing a chunk but would give you the dimensions (the chunk can be recreated, it's just part of the top bezel).

Thanks. If it's easy to disassemble, we can just do that here Sunday, but if it's a pain, I might take you up on your offer. :)

It's a no brainer to take it apart. 4 screws and it's out of the control panel, and it just lifts off the shifter.

Once I saw the whole setup I just shook my head. The whole shifter is a beast and built well, but the mount is crap. Whomever thought that would stand up to any kind of abuse was high.

Piece of cake. We'll do it on Sunday.

Well, we didn't. And I forgot about it until I just read this...

Is the piece you're looking for the one that 4 screws go into "fingers" on the backside of the disk? If so, I take it back, my company couldn't easily fabricate that... But a simple silicon mold would make casting it very easy... At least I would think so.
