I'm looking for the cardboard bezel for Phoenix.

Looking through pics on the net, I see that some have a black cardboard bezel, while other photos show one with printed artwork. It's been too long for me to remember what was original in these (maybe both). I would be willing to buy either one. I seem to recall finding someone here in the forums that reproduced the black cardboard bezels for several different games. I think I bought a couple of the Nintendo ones from him. But I can't seem to find the post anymore by searching the forums or through my history. If you can point me to a source for repros, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Dave

You can just cut one yourself with some thicker stock board from Michaels or wherever. I just made one for my Phoenix, was pretty easy and cheap.

An X-acto blade, a cutting mat and straightedge is all you need. The Phoenix bezel has some folded sides too but if you lightly score it and use the straightedge to fold it it turns out great.

I suspect a local framing shop could also help with this as they have all the tools for the picture framing mat fabrication but you might have to cut out the odd shape of the monitor ring in the middle yourself.

I had the old worn bezel so it made it easy to copy. I still have this old one btw, albeit folded now.

I did the exact same thing. The inner arcs are the only trick part, but it's not too hard.

It's just plain black. joeycuda used to make cardboard bezels. Not sure if he ever did Phoenix.
Thanks.

I've made them before and that's what I'll do if I can't find a repro. Just checking to see if someone else has already made them before I go down that path.
