WTB: PGA Tour Golf Team Challenge decals and "All Access Pass"

I was lucky enough to find a PGA Tour Golf "Team Challenge" machine but it still has the old "Challenge" artwork on the marquee, side art, and control panel. I searched for the decals (and artwork) but didn't have any luck. If anyone has the decals, high res artwork, or knows where I can purchase either and would be willing to reply to my thread I would really appreciate it! My cabinet is a PGA Tour Golf conversion cabinet that has the digital scrolling topper above the marquee (similar to the older Golden Tee type cabinets).

In addition, I'm looking to upgrade the machine to an "All Access Pass" which should unlock all 27 courses. It's to my understanding that the only way to play on all 27 courses (other than having an All Access Pass upgrade) is to play on a tournament machine set up for online play. Well, my machine is a tournament machine but those online servers were taken down years ago which means I can't utilize the full potential of my machine. If anyone has info on how to unlock the remainder of the courses without me having to pay $500 for an upgrade that would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much in advance!

I don't know about the art, but I've seen it discussed on here before and there is no avoiding paying big money to upgrade for the rest of the courses.

I think I've seen it discussed here a while back and was hoping that something may have changed. It seems a little trivial that an upgrade to a game from 2006 would cost so much especially when those additional courses where not made available after the online servers for tournament play went offline.

If you were an original owner of the tournament play machines those courses where unlockable while connected to the internet. But since connecting to the internet is not an option any longer you have to pay $400 - $600 to unlock the remainder of the courses? That seems a little steep to me. I can understand paying $20 - $50 but for "ALL ACCESS" it's substantially more I guess.

I would bet that Global VR would sell more "ALL ACCESS" upgrades and ultimately bring in more money if they offered owners of the machine to get these courses back on their machines at an affordable price point. Maybe I am missing something here but it seems a little unfair.

I know little about it except for the fact that I own the machine and have seen it discussed. I do have an operators card (NOS) that came in a sealed envelope when I got the game. I wonder if that would/could help (probably not)
I was pleased to get a players card as well, so at least I could make a golfer and save the settings.

I'd love to get more courses on here

My machine is coming tomorrow and it also has an operators card (it is a PGA TOUR TEAM CHALLENGE "TOURNAMENT" EDITION with 12 courses I believe). I went on eBay and bought up 3 player cards (NOS) for $12.50 each last week so I'm just waiting to start the action tomorrow night.

I am going to continue to do some research here and will try to contact Global VR to see if they recommend anything for us. It would be unfortunate to never unlock the true potential of our games!

I apologize for multiple posts here but I just emailed Global VR explaining our situation. I will let you know if and when I receive any response. Below is a copy of the email that I sent...

Hello,

I am the owner of a PGA Tour Golf "Team Challenge" Tournament Edition arcade game and was hoping that you can help me regarding unlocking the remainder of the courses on my machine. I know that originally these courses where unlockable when the machine was online and connected to your servers. Now that your servers are offline what would be my options to unlock the rest of the options that where once available?

I really appreciate your help on this and eagerly await your reply. Thank you!

My machine came on Saturday and as it turns out it is a PGA Tour Golf "Challenge" and not a "Team Challenge." I did a barter for the machine site unseen and the original owner did not know there was a difference between "Challenge" and "Team Challenge". So now I'm looking for an upgrade kit to go to "Team Challenge" at this point. If anyone knows of how I can do this please let me know. I will be reposting a new request in the WTB section tomorrow.

Also...no word back from Global VR on the email regarding "All Access Pass" to unlock all courses. Bummer.

Just to update...I did receive an email from Global VR regarding the "ALL ACCESS PASS". Below is what they sent me.

"The only way to unlock the World Tour Courses is to purchase and install the All Access Pass Kit. We stopped production of that kit several years ago. You would need to locate a distributor that still had stock on this kit."

thanks for the effort on this, I was following this thread.

I have a series of discs in case I ever need to reload them onto my computer.
I'm not sure if they can be used on several machines, or if it will only work on my machine.

do you know?

I am not much of a computer guy.

From what I understand you would need the System Recovery disk and the three Installation disks as well as the "dongle" to do an upgrade. I assume that the dongle is the critical portion of upgrading the machine. I need to find one! Here is a link to the upgrade instructions in the event you ever needed them...

The quest goes on!

I purchased that upgrade kit so I hope it goes well. I will post how it goes with the seller. So far he has responded to my emails within a few hours so I'm happy with the communication.

I am still looking for the artwork and marquee for PGA Tour TEAM CHALLENGE. If anyone knows of where I can find them please contact me. Thanks!

The upgrade kit arrived today and I'm doing the installation. It looks like I will have an extra PGA Tour Golf "CHALLENGE" backup, installation, and dongle if anyone is interested in upgrading their older version machine.

I also have all the disks for Challenge, Challenge II, and Challenge III if anyone needs them.

So the upgrade went smoothly and I'm now upgraded to "TEAM CHALLENGE." The seller had great communication and shipped quickly (for those who may be interested). I have 12 real courses, 4 fantasy courses, and a driving range!

If anyone has the marquee or side art (or knows where I can find it) for "TEAM CHALLENGE" please let me know as I am still looking for it.

Thanks!

your statement above says you are NOT upgraded to team challenge, did you mean NOW upgraded to team challenge?
I have 12 courses, I don't think I have a driving range. I have to say I really dig the option for up to an 8 player "horserace"/elimination event.

Sorry as I meant "now upgraded" and I edited that last post to reflect that. Where is the horse race option? That sounds awesome!

Do you have the 4 fantasy courses as well?

I'll get my list of courses over.

A horse race is:
a X# of people(up to 8) playing with 1 getting eliminated on each hole until eventually it's 2 guys playing the last hole to determine the overall winner.

So the upgrade seems to have actually solved a problem with the machine glitching after an hour of play. I had friends over a couple nights ago and we played the "shoot out" where the lowest score on each hole is eliminated and it's one of the most fun games we've ever played. It's a good time getting each of the eight players to put a dollar in with the winner taking the $8 pot!

Also, I found a marquee and a mini marquee on eBay and snatched them both up for $15 so now I can replace my "CHALLENGE" with the official "TEAM CHALLENGE" marquees to match my upgrade!

So finally, I'm only in search for the side art for "TEAM CHALLENGE" and am also considering replacing the control panel overlay with the more current control panel. If anyone has any info on either please consider contacting me as I'm almost done with this machine. I've decided that the "ALL ACCESS" is just way too much money to add a few more courses at this point.
