I am looking to buy a NOS set of OutRun steering wheel springs...if you have a set for sale please pm me......Thanks!

Thanks for the link...I already have a set of those...not as tight as original springs are good but I would like a set of NOS that has tighter tension

I need a set to. And the gears.

I think I have the gear problem solved for now, but we will see.

As for the spring, I'm gonna take one of the spring (broken) to Ace hardware and see if I can find a spring that might work. If they don't have one in their 'spring' hardware section, I am going to look at the springs for the screen doors and see if these might work.

A little ingenuity and lots of luck might save a few bucks. I post the result of my hunt once I'm done.

Ok cool...keep us posted...

Here was WRKEY's findings on another thread

Also, the springs were busted (as usual). I took and old broken one to Ace Hardware down the street and they had a set of springs that were almost exactly what the DR ordered. They are called "Handyman Springs" made by Prime-Line Slide-Co and have a part number of SP-9618. While they are a bit looser than the originals, it does a fine job of centering the wheel.
