Do you have a dead 48-in-1/60-in-1/xx-in-1 board? I might be interested in purchasing it. Let me know what you have. Thanks!

Edit: just so you know, given how cheap these things are new/working, paying much for dead ones would be foolhardy. I can pay more in some cases if I know it can be repaired fairly quickly. Otherwise, maybe I can help save it from the trash and at least give you a few $.

I have a 48-1 that the images have tracers and lines coming out of them. Otherwise it works fine. What are you planning to do with these?

An offer of $10ish shipped was the reply he sent me.

I figured it would cost that to ship it. 3% in Paypal fees and $3 to take the money out of the ATM. It would cost me less to throw it away.

Yeah, given how cheap these things are in large quantities, it wouldn't be very smart to pay much for dead cards. My intent is basically to buy any that would just be tossed anyway. My offer will vary based on symptom though.

Sorry that you felt it wouldn't be worth your time to send it. Had you responded, I think we probably could have come to an agreement (and maybe still can). We could do a check or something and skip paypal. BTW, do you really get a $3 charge for each withdrawal? That's nasty. The Credit Union I use is free in network.

Anyway, to answer 7146aaron's question, I have a few intents with these:
- I'll repair the ones that I can quickly repair (not work dumping much time into these things)
- I'll use the others to aid in the reverse-engineering work
- I have some strange curiosity about the typical failures on these things. I've worked with lots of them and don't see the supposed failures that I keep hearing about. Most of what I've seen have been failures either due to bad soldering or cabinet wiring problems.
