A working SUPER board. "IF" you could find one expect to pay big for it! A rare bird. Frizzle Fried found one on ebay last fall. I think he paid $350 when the dust finally settled. In all honesty, he did NOT over for it supply and demand.

It would be cheaper and probably easier to build your own. Providing you had a rom burner. It requires burning all the roms. Acquire a second regular punch out board. Swap all roms, and color proms. You would also have to use JROK's security board. Other then that, its fairly straight forward. A punch out board can be converted to Super with the right roms and color proms.

$350 is a fantasy price. I got a super punchout board for free 3 weeks ago. So I guess the going rate lies somewhere between $350-FREE. I will gladly pay a fair price or trade for a working or non working board.

If you have one for sale please respond VIA prvt MSG with price. If you decide to list it on ebay please send me a link to the auction listing. I have at least 2 of the things listed as wanted in your sig if you are interested in a trade of some kind. Please respond VIA prvt MSG.
Thanks.

It's hard to offer up a price when you don't know the going rate for one. For 350 I can probably get someone to come off of one, for free he'll laugh in my face!

Please move along...

Generally when someone has an item "for sale" they have a price. I am not willing to make you a blind offer on something you may or may not have. Thanks anyway.

right.. I noticed you had been bumping it for a few days with no reply so I thought I'd try to help you out and see if I can get this guy to come off of his board. When I buy stuff from him I usually go in and make an offer. I don't know what these pcbs are worth so I was asking for a range. I'm not going in and saying "zero"..

I guess I'll let you get back to your hunt.

FWIW - I sold a SPO PCB/ w/ CP and Marquee for $400 (IIRC) a year or so ago.

I'm a nice guy though ;)

Sounds fair to me. The stick alone on that CP is 91$ new. A complete/working SPO kit would bring a premium from collectors for sure.

cant you get a punch out board and burn super punch out roms I dont know I am just asking

There is more to it than that. I think it was explained a few posts above here.

Po/spo

No. SPO used a security chip. However I have heard rumors that a version of the roms with no security checks does exist. Once those roms are allowed to be shared PO and SPO will become a rom swap. I am sure that will also change the current perceived value of the SPO pcb itself.

FWIW-James (Jrok) does not sell that security chip and has no plans to do so in the future. He did make some and pass them on a while back but it is not something he has or sells.

Do You Qualify?

Did the free SPO pcb work?

Just curious why you're looking for another one so soon.

I appreciate the concern...

As stated in my original post about the items I picked up the SPO board did not work. I also own more than one machine.

This new trend on KLOV of users questioning other users need for something they post in the WTB section is disturbing.

Well, its only because we all had a meeting last night concerning the possibility that you might be a terrorist trying to stockpile super punch out boards for later use as weapons of mass destruction. Dude, whats with the paranoia.
