Like the title says, I am WTB a Nintendo FAMICOM to NES convertor, so that I can play the Japanese FAMICON games on US version of the NES.

I know the trick that a few games came with the convertor in it, so if you have one of the earlier 5 screw carts:

Gyromite, Stack Up are said to have the best chance of containing the converter, along with these other titles:
1942, Clu Clu Land, Donkey Kong Jr.,Duck Hunt, Elevator Action, Excitebike, Golf, Gumshoe, Hogan's Alley, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!, Pinball, Raid on Bungeling Bay, Rygar, Soccer, Tennis, Urban Champion, Wizards and Warriors and Wrecking Crew

I'd like to pick it so I can play some new FAMICOM games I picked up from my brother, otherwise, the adapter would be ideal.

who knows, maybe some crafty guy on here has already made a few for sale ;)

other option was this route (has anyone tired it / own it):

Just beware, I tried 8 Gyromites and 3 Excitebikes before I found one with an adapter :(. So it may take a while.

I'm sure most have been found by now.....I was even thing of going to a few game stores with a scale to check. I have time to kill, and just didn't want to buy another machine. My Gyromite weighed just about 4 1/4 oz (most games weigh about 3 3/4 oz - with no memory) so I thought I struck gold.....not a winner.

Yup, it took a few tries here. I mistakenly bought a 5-screw Metroid thinking it would have an adapter... But then I realized Metroid wasn't even released in cart form in Japan.
You always have mine for an option, shoot me an offer if you don't like the price.

CRAP! you posted the same time I was replying to my brother. I think he found a Duck Hunt with the converter in his box of doubles.....If it doesn't have one, I will pick up yours, I should know in a few days :)

That's alright. The reason I wanted it was so I could play a pirate multicart, but the multicarts don't work on a normal NES. The adapter works fine.

You could also get a Generation NEX, which has a Famicom port on the top. I've never run into trouble playing any Famicom cart I own so far.
