My DK has an 8-way joystick, yuck... lets replace it, anyone got a spare 4-way, or any suggestions on where to go?

Also I could use the clear escuteon washer, and one of my start buttons is missing the mounting nut.

Let me check... I may have one. Mike Arcade has repros...

What is this washer?

Like this one, only transparent, at least I'm sure thats what Nintendo used...

Mikes is $65, yikes... Should have mentioned I'm a cheap bastard.

You can buy repro ones from gamestencils.com. $2.25 plus shipping for a set.

I have one. It is not pretty but it works fine. It was out of a DK caberet. I do not have the plastic disk. Is $10 plus shipping OK?

I also have the mounting plate that you may need as well depending on how molested the control panel is from mounting an 8 way joystick and the nut for your start button. Let me know.

I can fix ugly. Is the 4-way actuator still good? Mounting plate and button nut is also helpful. I will keep this one in mind.
I have a nice 4-way for $22 shipped
Looks like yours has a plastic cover. My Mario Bros. has that cover on both joysticks, but thats a metal CP. DK is wood. Anyone know whether or not the cover is needed?

I guess I should also mention the 8-way is up for grabs if anyone wants or needs one, I'm up for a trade :D

That stick is too short for the Dk wood panel. You could use it, just get the longer stick from Mike's and the plastic cover is not used on the wood panels. - Barry

WOW. Your right. I thought they were the same and thats why the adaptor was used on the metal panels. I have at least 30 nintendo joysticks I'll dig some more. I'm sure I have a long stick also.

If this one will work in my cab I think we can work out a deal. Can anyone confirm?

That is the one you need and I would grab it as you will not get one any cheaper you cheap ass KLOVER.:D
The 4 way sticks for wood DK cp's always have the squared end on the shaft.
The shorter shaft also has the c-clip on the very end of the shaft.
Here is a pic of the 2 different shafts.
