Hey i'm looking for an astro city cab either in the seattle area or from someone who is willing to ship one here. Let me know what you have and how much. Looking for one that is minty.

I think Matsu will be ordering a bunch of Astros in his next shipment. You can email him at [email protected] He's located in southern california, but ships anywhere.

I thought I'd post that I just got one from avidcollect shipped to just north of Seattle. I paid for it on 6/7 and it arrived on 6/16. Communication and info from him left a lot to be desired, but the cabinet arrived OK and is in great shape.

I took it apart and cleaned it with a rag and 409, but it wasn't too bad. Even though I bought the repro panel with 6 buttons per player, it didn't come with the harness to support them. I didn't know to ask for it, so it didn't upset me too much. I just got around to actually plugging in a game tonight, and you can see the results (blurry photo due to no flash):

I've got more pictures of how it arrived, and the cleaning process on my website HERE.

Bottom buttons require a different harness depending on the games, so you can't blame avidcollect for that. It's not like there is a universal harness for everything. Midway extra buttons, Namco extra buttons, Capcom extra buttons are all different.

The stock harness from the control panel bracket to the bottom of the cab is there (second connector from the right in the picture below), and I've ordered a couple connectors so I can make my own kick harnesses from that point. What I expected were wires from the controls to mate up with the connector already in the cabinet. I've got one on order, they sell them on several websites.

I also forgot to mention that there is no ground wire connector from the bottom of the cab to the control panel. I've also ordered a 2 position connector for that as the control panel is not currently grounded (far right plug in picture).

I bought one from avidcollect/coinopstore.com/kinglsey as well. Had to tweak the monitor a little from the back, but I really like it. I bough it for $575 shipped (with the repro 6 button panel like above). I think he's selling his others on ebay now.

I didn't get the extra button adapter, either, but I just run mine CPS1/2 kick wires directly to the buttons anyway so it's not too big of a deal, but it would've been really cool to be able to hook it up how Sega intended. Also, the wires for Neo Geo D buttons were spliced into the original jamma loom wires in mine. I wasn't sure what all the electrical tape was for until I started messing with it. Tested with MVS and it did work, though.

I posted a thread with pics from mine here: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212711
