I have an fc twin, and I want to use a NES controller, it only has snes controller ports as im sure we all know. Can anyone wire some NES controllers to a snes end for me? Ill pay for all parts and labor and what not. or if its about the same price, anyone have a NES for sale? They seem to be 75$ now.. which is insane.. if anyone has one decently priced lemme know and ill just buy that.

I have 7 NES consoles that I just got in, but I had intended to sell them at the going rate...Console, 2 controllers, Zapper, RFU Adapter, AC Adapter, and Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt or just Super Mario Bros. I would be willing to trade for SNES RPGs if you have any. Or do a PayPa/Trade combo.

If you have any flea markets near you, I usually see NES's for about $25 there (sometimes complete with cables and a controller). Last one I picked up was $20 with no cables or controllers, but I already had some of those.

My wife (then girlfriend) picked up me a really nice top loader with about 10 games, the classic blue/red Nintendo bag, and all the hookups several years ago for about $100. Probably one of the best birthday presents I've ever gotten. We stayed up all night drinking and playing Mario 3. Fucking awesome.

yeah imma keep an eye out for one cheap enough. I would love to just convert some controllers since that seems the cheapest alternative.. I saw a thread online searching and it seems really easy, im just afraid to hack up 2 controllers to find out lol

I'm not into flea markets and yard sales, but my buddy regularly brings home NES's and SNES's. He buys them with 20 games for $15 and resells them for 100 on ebay. He'll occasionally snag a cool rarity too. He bought a working Vectrex for $1 from some old guy that thought it was a black & white TV.

Did you just need the nes controller ports to hack onto your fc twin? I may have a pair around.

i dont think it would be cost effective to hack up an fc twin, especially considering it isnt even the best of the famiclones, as it cant play many good NES games (like castlevania 3) that other famiclones can.

i wasnt gonna hack the twin, just wanted to splice snes controller ends (the plug) on an nes controller, the fc twin has controller ports for snes. It works for me, i mean for 40$ and it plays the majority of games I like and all the ones I own. I am gonna just pick up a regular nes this week from cwales I think. because like kidvidiot said, castlevania 3. also the fc twin doesnt play super ghouls n ghosts past level 3.

I have some spare NES controller ports laying around and always toyed with the idea of putting them in a hobby box and wiring them up for use on the FC Twin. Main problem I'm running into is finding an SNES controller cable with all 7 contacts present. The controllers dont use all 7 and neither does the zapper, but all 7 are needed for all peripherails (controllers and zapper) to work. I bought a zapper for the FC Twin but it was total garbage. I want to hook up an NES Zapper to this thing.
