I'm looking for an original NBA JAM, or NBA JAM T.E. or NBA Hangtime 4 player cabinet in working condition in TX.

I live in Austin, but I'm willing to drive to pick it up. PM or email me.

yeah, i emailed him. the machine is only 2 player (conversion i guess..), and hes got a buyer lined up. he said he'd email me back if the buyer flakes on him. i'm not holding my breath on that one, plus i want the 4 player cabinet.

thanks for the link, though. i've been tracking tx area CL via rss for a couple weeks and i'm hoping to see a machine pop up soon. there's one a couple hours away for $600 which is a bit much, and there was another in san antonio that went for $250 last weekend.

There's a guy who seems to post one every couple months. Lowers the price a little each time. If he hasn't sold it, it will pop up again. It's a dedicated cab....

there's a guy selling an nba jam board for $20 in round rock who helped me find this world of arcade collecting, he recommended i check out that auction and/or pick up another cheap jamma cabinet and get the board from him after i get the cabinet. i may just do that until a dedicated machine pops up.

on austin CL? is he lowering the price from $1500 to $1300, or more like reasonable prices?

I think the last time was around $500, I think. I've seen it posted at about $1200 back in November 2008 and he needed to sell it for money for his "sick dog", then it went down each time. Usually has a pic of it with a big picture of basketball players or frat guys hanging on the wall next to it.

Hmm, a friend of mine had a NBA JAM a while back (generic cab). Wonder if he still has it...

if you don't mind asking your friend, i'd appreciate the favor. someone else PMed me who has a friend in dallas who may sell a cab to me in the coming months.

i'm sure i'll find one eventually.

NBA Jam is a $400 (tops) game - unless there is some other circumstance (HUO).

Don't pay a ridiculous price for one.

ah, thanks for the clarification and the price estimate. that makes me feel a bit better about some CL ads I've seen where people are asking about $500 or $600 for it compared to the $200-$250 I see more regularly.

can you comment on nba hangtime? that one came out a couple or 3 years later after jam, and the price I see continues to be $600-$650 except for a huge dynamo cabinet version i saw for $325. about $400 or $500 max for hangtime dedicated cab, too?

Remember that he's listing California prices, where you can't spit without hitting an NBA Jam on Craiglist. Down here where you almost never see anything you want, you might have to pay a little more to get what you want. Even a $400 game in Dallas still costs you $100 in gas/time - so you end up paying $500 anyway....

heh. good point. if people would stop posting the game at $500 or $600 with no OBO options, horrible pictures, and no response in dallas, i'd probably be good to go. :/

Thats actually a good point. They seem to be everywhere around here.

BTW - I have never seen a ded Hangtime cab, but never really cared about it since HT is plug and play in a JAM cab. FWIW - I have sold 3 HT PCB's (1 Max HT) from $75-$95.

YMMV

Is that hangtime machine just a NBA Jam cabinet with new artwork all over it? I understand the bit about the JAMMA boards and marquee, did midway also supply cabinet artwork for the sides and CP for hangtime?

Their all just Mortal Kombat II cabs. :)

Oh, and I'm sorry to say my buddy sold his a month ago....

i just saw something that mentions nfl blitz is medium resolution, do the medium resolution monitors in those cabinets also do standard res?
