Like a few members of these forums, I've been working on collecting all of the MK arcade machines. I recently achieved that goal, but I still have a couple little rarities on my wanted list. One of them is a kombo board. (Turbo, Krazy, Nifty, 3.1, whatever) I know there are different versions, and I really don't care what version I get. I just want one. lol

Not sure what my chances are of being offered one here on KLOV, but I guess I don't know until I try. I also haven't really seen enough of them sell to know what their price range is. I would really love to have this, so I can complete this wishlist and relax. I prefer to have a MK revision 3.0 PCB with it, instead of just the lone daughter-board, but beggars can't be choosers. If you're interested, PM me, and we'll work something out.

And I know the roms can be burned, but comon. This is a collector you're talking to. Think I want burned roms? ;)

Well, they are so rare that I seriously doubt you will find any of us that are willing to part with it. Currently, the Nifty Kombo hack is the only hack that still requires the Kombo Board to function on the original hardware. All the other known hacks have had the security cracked and don't need it to run on the original hardware. Not trying to dash your hopes because you may get lucky, but it's not likely for something as rare as what you are asking for. I am sure you understand.

Yeah figured none of you would want to part with them... but then again, I think everything has a price. Not that I'm willing to pay a crazy high amount or anything. lol

Well, I'm fortunate enough to have found 2 over the years, but "bulldawg" has more than that. Contact him and I am sure he MIGHT be able to be persuaded to part with one.

Sorry to bring up an older post but I came across one of these little nibble boards.
I hope to figure out more info on it and see what people think its maybe worth.
I came across this little board by chance really, at the time I had no clue what it was.
Someone had given me a bunch of old damaged pcb's to scrap (pull eproms or what have you). One was a y-unit, no sound board that was in nasty shape. It had that little nibble board on it, no idea what the game was I just tossed into the pile of others, I assumed it was a high impact pcb or something and had no need or want to mess with it. It was only now, a few years later, when I was searching around for umk3 hacks that i came across that site that lists the hacks and it had a picture of the nibble board and I recognized it.
I pulled it and burned the turbo ninja roms from mame and it works on my t-unit mk.
The thing I want to know, is this board even needed anymore? I see people selling these hack versions on ebay without the nibble. I have friends that want this version, but I cant seem to find the roms that work without this board. Someone know where to look?
Again I would really like opinions on the value of this, if I cant find the "cracked" version for my friends they may want to buy it.
And to the OP, an offer sent my way couldnt hurt.

Needing the daughterboard depends what what hacked revision you are talking about. Some of them, the security chip was cracked, and the roms were dumped, allowing them to be burned without use of the daughterboard. Other revisions still require the security chip and thus can't be burned and used, without being inserted into a daughterboard. On another note... You should sell that daughterboard to me :D
