I'm assuming you haven't moved the board or it has not been stored before last used, which would eliminate bent pins. Have you attempted anything with it first? From the rom version questions I'm assuming not, apologies if you have though.
Check the pins on P1, it could be the lighting but they look slightly grey, possible oxidation. If they are discoloured I would gently sand them down with fine sand paper or a sanding pad. Always sand gently in one direction, not back and forth which could catch on the pins depending on what your using. Check they're all straight and correctly aligned and spaced.
Remove the socketed chips gently with a flat small screw driver and check if they're discoloured. Sand down gently if required, same sanding direction to avoid catching on the chip legs. If you have any pcb cleaner, spray it into the chip sockets and work with an old tooth brush then replace the chips. Try that for starters.
This is basic stuff, you won't need any special equipment to do this and it's the first of a simple series of checks.
