Those are the older versions as well, which had the "cent" spelled out, like on Space Invaders. Not the correct ones.

I am the one making these...

Hello, yes, I am the one who is making these coin door inserts. To clear up this thread, they are reproduced by a plastics manufacturing company out of San Francisco for my own use. I had to order about 1000 units to make the cost worthwhile and am selling the rest. They are made on 1/8 Lexar with screened logo on the back with a red translucent color so the light behind it pops out. They are not made on an inkjet printer in my house. The company tried to copy the font as close as possible and true, they are not 100% exact but they are are 99% and as close as a professional company can make them. I took one out of an old Galaga machine and they copied that version. It is the "25 Cent" version. If that is the version you need then these are as close to NOS as you are going to find. I did not have the "25" version made. Feel free to check out my ebay listing, I have sold over 280 of these and have never had anything but fantastic reviews and I stand by this product. If you buy them from me and dont like them, I'll gladly take them back and pay the return shipping.
Thanks!
Magugin

funny your auction dosnt say SCREENPRINTED
not doubting you but usally thats something worth mentioning

Ive never seen A GALAGA with an "Early version" of that insert
and it is in FACT the WRONG FONT and they were not "translucent red"
but a flourescent red
and if your "company" couldnt find the font theres better ways to do it right
just my 25cents :D

Yes, these parts are Screen Printed (I updated my eBay site)

The color is PMS Translucent Red (Pantone Matching System) so the color matches exactly when placed side by side. Even when you add a light behind them I can see little difference other than that the new part is bright and clean (and not many years old). I am not sure what the other difference would be between this one and one made with Florescent. Blacklight? I have not compared them sie by side under a blacklight.

The material is .118" thick clear Acrylic.

TOG is correct that font is not an exact match but if you replaced both inserts you would never know. Even side by side it is hard to tell. I put a picture of them side by side.

If you are a casual arcade hobbyist, like me, and just want a solid, good looking part then this part will be perfect for you. If you are looking for that 100% authentic NOS part, this may not be for you as there are minute differences. I have never had a complaint and like I said, I would gladly take the part back if anyone is unhappy with it

Good as you should
This is an IMPORANT thing to mention so many repros that are inkjetted rarely tell you they are inkjetted. But when a project/product is SCREENED its ALWAYS mentioned and with good reason.

As for the other version as orginally posted
Ill have those on my site again VERY soon.

well...its about time rich,i have been waiting for these for some time! (jk).thats great,as i need about 8 of these.

I bought 2 of those "25 CENTS" coin door inserts from eBay and although not an exact match, I think that they are great quality and they look much better in my coin door than the original old/ scratched ones.
