WTB: Late model all metal coin door for Williams IJ

The one that came with my machine has plastic coin reject and coin return parts. I want to get this, as well as all of my other pieces brass plated, which can only be done with all metal parts. If you have one for sale, or if you want to trade for mine, which is in god shape, please let me know. Thanks!

Ya know..

All you have to do is send me a text for whatever parts request you've got :)

I've got a nice coin door I pulled from a Medevil Madness I restored. Even has a working bill excepter. I've also got used and nos coin door parts.. So we even prolly can swap out your plastic parts with metal ones.

Do you have a Williams Lockbar? I'm trying to find one. Standard width, for an f-14 tomcat. PM me if you do.

Well, this is what I've figured out. I don't know the different brands of coin doors, so I don't really know what brand this is. However, I do know that it matches the one I have on my NBA Jam (same era). As I was sitting in my office at work, I was shuffling through some papers and found a metal coin reject "frame" (I guess that's what you would call it) that had previously fallen off our Pole Position in the waiting room. Looking it over, it seemed to be the same size as what I have at home, but I've been fooled before. However, when I got home, I swapped it out and found that it fit, so I can swap out the rest of the parts from the Pole Position in the office to make it all metal. However, I'm still not sold on the design of this coin door as I think these look pretty awesome too:

That one's much smoother around the reject and return areas and I'm a little concerned about the plating of the ridgey areas. Ugh...decisions, decisions.

So bottom line...I guess I don't need a coin door at this time. I just need to decide for myself if I'm going to make do with this one and get it plated, or go with the other design that's preplated, granted, it's a $200 decision :/ Thanks everyone.

Looks like what you have now is a Gottlieb coin door.

The gold/brass plated blinged out coin door is nice but it will look out of place if you don't do the rest of the metal: lock bar, side rails, legs, levelers, ramps.

Now Fiz...you should know me better than that by now ;)

I've checked several other IJs, including the Disneyland one. The door I have is a very common one, so since its probably "original", I may just go with that one. With that being said, a third option I have is this one:

The story I have on this one was that it was a prototype for Addams Family. Apparently, it weighs almost 20 lbs. He's not sure if it's solid brass, but it just might be, given the weight. If that's the case, I might just be able to get that one polished and the reject and return parts plated. Good news is that it's local and might be cool if its a prototype...and i like the symmetry. Bad news is that it'll run me $200, isn't "original", and I might just need to get it plated anyway. More decisions!
