I've got a almost working Krull, but it has no sound.
I'm looking for a couple parts.

In order of importance.

1. Sound board
2. The service panel (test, select, sound, coin )
3. Coin door

I've got a service panel swapped in for now. Otherwise the game is stuck in test mode.

Currently the game plays, but there is now sound.
Advise on the sound board. Can a qbert, qbert cubes, or Mad Planets sound board be swapped in?

I'm very green with this machine so excuse the newbie questions.

I think but not sure that a mad planets or qbert sound board can be used if you install the right roms on them. I know a mad planets sound board works in qbert but it wont have the speech. Its the same board, just more populated for the qbert. You can use a qbert board on mad planets. Im not sure about krull but I would assume the board is the same as mad planets.
If its stuck in service mode you need to ground the service switch wire. That switch needs to be closed for normal game operation and open for service mode. In other words, without the panel hooked up it will stay in service mode.

Krull usually has the sound board with the little adapter board for a different 12v sound amp. So, no qbert & mad planets will not work since they run the 30v sound amp. Also your power supply (if its the original one) from your Krull is populated slightly differently to power the 12v amp vs. the 30v counterpart. The sound board and power supply are a matched pair. If you used a qbert sound board, you can use a qberts power supply, or convert yours to qbert part population.

The LM379S will run just fine with the converted power supply(puts out around 14-16v usually), done it. Obviously you dont want to run a sound board with the piggyback board on 30v.
That being said, I have brand new reproduction piggyback amp boards in stock and the parts for either power supply kit.
