Some k7000 19's came with 10 pins necks but not many. Sorry I can help you with more of those, I have way to many 8 pin boards right now.Sorry, should have specified - 19" and large neck (10pin socket?). However I didn't think 19" came with large sockets? For my donor tubes (that have a large socket) i've been swapping in 25" neck boards.
thx
I may have a few in a couple days. Repaired 8 of them this week. I'm waiting for a capacitor order so I can get them recapped and dialed in. These all have 8 pin neck boards though. Also some of them are NOS chassis's that were used for training purposes at WG.Just bumping this as I'd like to pick up a few more k7000 chassis that are recapped and refurbed!
Thanks
For sure, I wouldn't part with them if I can't dial them in perfect. Like I said, some are NOS but where used for training. They had missing parts, parts in the wrong place, etc. It was to see if trainees could find the mistakes following the schmatic. The ones I've gone through have great pics so far but have 25 year old capacitors on them so I'll recap them and some will be for sale. That'd be awesome - as long as they work well, I'm good. I have a handful of 10pin neck boards that I can swap in...
Appreciate if you can let me know! Thx
A good friend bought them from an ex WG employee. He wasn't going to fix them all, theres way to many. I've been going through the 25 inch ones for over a year and recently started on the 19's.Awesome, sounds good. I'd love to pick up a few.
And I guess this means you pass the test huh? That's pretty cool though that you've got your hands on them and restoring them for life in the wild...
Im totally short on width coils, many had already been robbed and I have maybe 100 chassis's to repair still. I do have a bunch I saved that had cracked core, that's why I asked if the core on yours would come out in 1 piece.Oh yes, and Kev - if you have one of those k7000 19" boards that is not salvageable and for parts, I'd love to get the width coil off of it to swap the one I snapped off...
