WTB: Hard Drivin' arcade bay Atari, or Race Drivin'

Looking for a 2nd machine so i can link them !!!!

it MUST be the sit down cockpit version, and would like to buy one fully functional.
I will pay good $$$ for a nice working version; but if you have one that is mostly complete then shoot me a line

I am in the California Bay Area; dont be shy if you are far away...

Well, you said don't be shy.

A friend of mine has a working sitdown Hard Drivin. It just needs an original seat and the knob on the shifter. He wants $250 for it.

Here's the bad part. It's in Brooklyn CT

I'm thinking "tooooo far away" but if you really want one........

i can fabricate/buy another seat while is search for a original seat; and the knob on the shifter is like the last thing i'm worried about considering i'm a car guy... got lots of spare shift knobs haha

yea Brooklyn CT is like about as far from me as you can possibly get while still being in the continental US !!!!

..... but i'm still interested; maybe i can get it shipped for a few hundred. so tell him to PM me, or PM me his phone number if he is cool with that

or email me:

found one on Ebay, but not a cockpit, and its $500.... which i wouldnt mind so much if it was a cockpit. but for a stand up.... i have already found 2 people that have standups (one had 5 !!), and was willing to part with them for $250; which is a great price... but i think i'd rather hold out for cockpit; but we'll see how long i can hold out! hahaha

i got a line on a guy in Oregon (relatively "close" at 800ish miles away), but thats a stand up also grrrrrr

I have a working sit down hard drivin. In denver CO
Great shape, quite a few miles on it, but it works!

buuuuuuump

still lookin'......... a few people that have posted up are potential good leads, and i just PMed them to follow up on any progress towards getting a functional machine; but still havent found a 100% working version yet.

and yea, i'd prefer Race Drivin' over Hard Drivin' (obviously!)

the Hard Drivin' standup that i found on Ebay, sold for $300, pickup only. it was too far away sadly

hey fyi simmit racing sells some cheap plastic racing seats that make killer replacements for the original, you just have to enlongate the mounting plate holes a little to make it fit.

I went for yellow when i had my race drivin but dont, it does not match go black.

lookie what i got.........

i never dreamed i'd be able to get ahold of Race Drivin' as opposed to Hard Drivin'..........and i sure as hell never dreamed that i would find it within less than 1 hour drive from my house!!!!

heard about at 1pm, called, was called back at 4pm, picked up at 8pm (i had to arrange a truck, and manpower) :D

i cant thank KLOV enough for this, as it was brought to my attention so quickly by a KLOV member, mrbill2084 :) the machine was posted on a local Craigslist, but I had not done a search in awhile. so thanx big time mrbill2084 for keeping an eye out!!!!

i've played it for a couple hours now, and looked it over pretty well. its basically fully functional it seems, but i already have a list of about 20 things that need fixing/replacing/adjusting/cleaning cleaning cleaning etc etc.... i will start a restoration thread pretty soon and catalog the progress :)
