I am looking for a cheap jamma board to test game monitors, Preferably supporting different patterns and resolutions in test mode.

I heard that Mortal Kombat and Blitz 99 are good, but anything cheap that would serve that purpose.

Yeah, I use a Blitz 99 because it can test either standard or medium resolution and has color bars and a test grid. I also keep a 60-in-1 around for the VGA output.

What's interesting about the Blitz is that the HD is faulty so you can't play the game, but the test/menu feature works. But it won't work unless the HD is hooked up, even though it is bad. Still, it's good for a dedicated bench PCB when testing monitors.

Golden Tee Fore boards are also resolution switchable, but their not usually cheap...

I have a US CLASSIC GOLF JAMMA board I'd sell for cheap.

I have no idea what it's like in test mode though.

I did say CHEAP though, right?

:)

Yeah, but with their crappy surface mount soldering, I wouldn't use one for that. Flex it the wrong way and it'll die.
