Looking for something for my newly purchased 48-in-1, anything out there?

Come on, I KNOW you guys don't want me converting my DKJR to JAMMMA.

The amount of hobbyists in this state is depressing! BUMP for anything out there or within reasonable driving distance. Starting to think these are harder to come by than I had originally thought.

All the generics are being turned into multis and sold for profit $$$

But, better them than the classics.. =)

Tell me about it. About the only thing I've found with in a 15 mile driving range is a local op who's doing exactly this and refuses to sell me any cabinets beyond the $1000 plus multicades on his show floor. Not looking to cut into his profit or anything, but if he can sell them for that much money is money and business is business I suppose.

What's reasonable driving distance?

I'd say three hours max one way depending on the condition/asking price of a setup.

You must be talking about Charleston Game Rooms. They're good guys, but when their customers try to sell off the stuff they've bought, they won't let it go for cheap.

Actually, I wouldn't think the DKJr -> Jamma would be bad if you left all the art intact. With an adapter, you could plug the DKJr board back up.

Come to Columbia sometime- we'll have an arcade party-

yeah.. there isn't very much down here. You're a couple hours closer to Myrtle Beach than I am and things pop up for sale there all the time. I have a gutted rampage cab if you are really desperate for a project but you would probably be better off scratchbuilding a cab.

kstillin is right though; someone should throw a low country party.

I might have something that you'd be interested in. Shoot me a PM if your willing to take that three hour trip.

PM sent :D

Yep Charleston Game Rooms indeed. I agree that they are good guys, have spent plenty of time on their machines thanks to freeplay and their generosity. Considering they are a retail shop it didn't come as a surprise they weren't keen on selling parts/project cabs but I figured what the hell, couldn't hurt to ask.

Yeah, some sort of party/get together down here would be awesome.
