You need to be VERY specific when you order it. He shipped me one and the box was crushed in transit. He did a poor job of packing it which certainly didn't help.
He sent me a replacement the proper way in a thick cardboard mailing tube and for reasons that are beyond me he rolled the soft translite material and secured it with several heavy rubber bands (that were rolled tight) and they (of course!) deformed the material. So I got my uncrushed translite finally but you can see the damage that the rubber bands did.
I gave up after that and just decided to live with it.
I would. And I'd specify a thick cardboard tube. And just in case he stores them that way I'd ask him to inspect it before shipping to make sure it isn't damaged.
It's a ridiculous request but frankly I'm still flabbergasted that he shipped it that way.
