Wtb: gateway II playfield

Thanks for the advice, I checked out B & T, they do some nice work that's for sure but I'm just lookin for a cheaper descent used playfield.
Thanks again

... but I'm just lookin for a cheaper descent used playfield.

Cheaper than a $700-800 new reproduction playfield? Why go through all the work to do a playfield swap for an used playfield? Do it right from the start and replace it with a new one or a restored original.

Yes ! cheaper the a " $700-$800 new reproduction playfield"
The reason I would go through the trouble is because after buying all the " new" reproduction parts and the hundreds of dollars in shipping the restore would cost more then the machine is worth, it's been re themed and needs a lot of work.
I can appreciate your work and that your throwing a plug out there for B&T and I said they do good work.
I can't afford $2500 to $10000 for a pinball , and I saved this one from the trash in an ally,I asked the owners and they said I take it or the garbage man.
I'm just basically looking for a USED but descent playfield.

Hey atleast I saved this pin from the landfill can I atleast get a thumbs up for that even if it doesn't work out

An overlay might be a solution if they make one. I got a Comet I'm going to do in the spring I haven't done one before. Same thing I'm going to save it from a parts cab the paint is toast on it but everything works on it.
If you don't have a way to spay clear, the Spray Max 2K might be another cheap solution. It's auto clear 2 part in a spray can at less than $20 bucks a can. The guys on Arcade Repair tips said they used it on a playfield on their podcast and it came out OK. I might go that route if I don't take it somewhere to get sprayed but I'm at the same level trying to keep cost down, I'm not planning on selling it after but I don't want to sink to much on it most of the reasoning for me is to learn new skills.

If you're worried about the resale cost, you're already behind. Or will be, hate to say.

I don't care at all about resale, like BertoDRINK1 says I just want to learn new skills, look I'm not trying to build the holy grail of getaway II pinball machines here, I Was just looking for a playfield that's all.
