Hi! I'm looking to purchase my first pin for my game room here in Albuquerque, NM, and I've done a small bit of posting via KLOV (meaning a single post several months ago looking for other vid collectors in ABQ to no avail) so figured I'd try my luck here as well -- though Albuquerque seems to be a bit of a 'dead zone' for both vids and pins! I've primarily been a vid collector but decided to trim my collection down and get a pin instead, as my wife doesn't like vids but she absolutely loves playing pinball! :)

I'm looking to spend, say, $2500 on the top end of things and I'm looking for something either late EM or SS -- I'm not interested in anything with a DMD at the moment as I want a good 'entry' into the pinball world so I can get a feel for the ins and outs of pinball ownership before I move into anything too complicated.

My wife is also new to the pinball world so she's not the world's best pinball player (but give her practice and she'll be great!), so I'm also looking for something that will have good staying power for a years-experienced pin player like myself but something easy and approachable for her to get into pins with me. Some of my favorites are essentially anything SS by Williams such as Pharoah, Fire!, Taxi, Diner, etc. and realistically just about anything from '79-'91 or so. I'm not too picky at the moment, just need something that meets the 'fun for the whole family' criteria and is under $2500 -- around $1500 ballpark would be absolute best.

So, sending out the radar waves and good vibes to anyone in the ABQ area that has a pin that they're looking to offload -- perhaps this time I'll get a hit! :) If you need feedback or anything like that, I'm a constant member of AtariAge under the username 'Cebus Capucinis' and also have eBay feedback under 'akirafan190'. Thanks!

I've tired a couple iPhone apps for CL but for some reason they don't upload properly. Is it also an iPhone app? I'm pretty exclusive about my phone usage, LOL!

I search CL almost daily for pins in ABQ, as I'm pretty limited in my scope geographically (sold my truck when we moved here from Idaho, shame on me, so road trips are difficult). Denver isn't too far, nor is Phoenix, but I'd have to rent a truck, etc., and that just seems to push everything beyond the realm of 'feasible expense' for me at the moment.

I was eyeing a Flash for sale for $800, but it's been a while and I'm not completely sure I want something that simplistic as my wife really enjoys ramp shots. There's also a Strato-Flite for $500 but I think the playfield would become too stale for me too easily.

Figured I'd try "other avenues"! :D
