I am looking for a eprom programmer and eraser. It does not have to be anything fancy I just want to be able to program 27C040-10 and maybe M27C160 eproms for my mk boards. If anyone has any for sale at a reasonable price let me know. Thanks

Most any of the cheap ones work fine for the "C" parts. Its the older chips that program at higher voltages where you start to run into problems.

Yeah ive been looking at the willems programmers and im confused as whether i have to buy an adapter for it to do the 27c040 eproms.

You need the adapter to do 16bit EPROMs...

27C040 = 8 bit
27C4096 or 27C400 = 16 bit

You'll need it to do the 27C160 too.

So it will do the 27c040 without any adapters? Also im still looking for a reasonable priced programmer and eraser if anyone has one for sale.
