I never gave it much thought, but does the arcade shop one provide the -5v (wizzy) or did you guys just wire in a standard switcher. I dumped a wizzy one in mine, but I don't think it was speaking after I did it.
Hi, I did try this just to test the S+T board was working and I got the usual hummmmmmmm that goes whenever you connect a regular switcher to an MCR game. That's OK for a test, but not great for long term play. Also I'd kinda like to keep things original if I can. I do have one of the Wizzies workshop switcher adapters but I don't think it has the extra power output that runs to the S+T board. Has anyone else adapted the adapter to run and EDOT?
i used the original power supply to power the game . my edot was missing the -5 volt board. so i just mounted a switcher in its place to use only for the -5 volts. it never had a hum to it.
