Looking for a Dragons' Lair NTSC Decoder card rev B. My video chip seems to be having problems.

Ah, I see it. I think that's the Wells gardner card. I'm looking for the Electrohome G07 NTSC Decoder. Not sure what differences there are between the cards, but I'm sure there are a few. My bad - I didn't specify that.

Sure it's the video chip and the board doesn't just need a cap kit done?

I have 2 boards marked 85X0311 and another marked 85X0327A if that tells you anything.

You know that did occur to me as there are quite a few caps on there. I don't think there's an actual kit out there for it is there? I'll have to scribe down what caps are actually on there and go hunting for some I think. That's quite an expensive little chip on there. I probably should try some new caps first.

No, there is no official kit for it. However, more than once I have ordered "custom" cap kits from Bob Roberts, including for a TV. :) Just document the cap info and position, then send the list to him so he can match with the stock he has. That's are pretty small caps, so they should be fairly inexpensive, but still more than a typical $5 kit.

Good luck and report back your success.

Yea after you mentioned that, I did just that. But I have a running tally at Mouser I think I'll just order 20 of each type, always nice to have extra stock on hand in the future. For the record a Dragon's Lair Electrohome G07 NTSC decoder cap kit would include:

7 - 10uf25v
1 - 100uf25v
1 - 2.2uf100v
1 - 4.7uf50v
1 - 1uf50v
3 - 0.22/50 ((I'm thinking this is a 0.22uf50v(??) but it's how they are labeled))

Hopefully this helps someone that also needs to run some new caps on their NTSC decoder card. Whether this fixes the problem or not, it just makes sense while running a cap kit on your monitor to also run a cap kit on what provides the signal to the monitor.
Before I invest $17.00 into just the cost of a single IC before shipping I'm going to try this.
