Well I bought one of these off of Ebay for $50, but it turns out it was a boot :(

Does anyone else have a DK PCB laying around they could sell for me?

Looking to put this and my DK Jr. PCB in a DK Jr. cab :)

Have you thought about doing the double donkey kong conversion by mikes arcades?
Since you already have a dk jr for $160 you can have both games and keep your original wiring.

I've considered it, but my goal is to set some high scores on these bad boys...and they both have to be authentic for me to do so :(

You'll probably need to play on site at a sanctioned event to make anything stick.

Good luck!

Thanks, still need the board first :p

only had a chance to play dk jr. for a few hours over the past 3 days...up to 143k :) 1/10th of the way there!

I think one of his records (the first one he had in the King of Kong) was on the DDK board. It should be ok to practice on...I doubt it plays any different. You just have to get past the DK Jr sounds ;)
Also, to the OP, you said the board was a boot...what kind of board was it? Donkey King? Got any pics of it?

Steves first milllion point score wasn't accepted because it was on a Double DK board. Steve has also said in interviews they are only accepting scores performed live infront of a referee now. But I still dont understand how this Hank Chen received the world record AFTER this when he submitted a DVD.

That was some time ago. They've since revised the rules and you can record a game, but you have to follow a checklist longer than NASA's ;)

Shitty pictures... looks like a space firebird, not a donkey kong.

It's definitely not a bootleg though. Bootlegs don't have the little black shrouded headers.
