I missed the boat on the DK super harness, so I'm looking for a Donkey Kong wiring harness. My control panel came out of a Popeye - it's got the CP harness in place, not sure if that's compatible with DK. Looking for a complete solution (monitor/audio cable, harness) or edge connector type harness. Also in need of monitor mounting brackets. Shoot me a PM if you have any of this stuff laying around.

I had really good luck with the Mikesarcade.com Nintendo JAMMA adapter. Unless you are going for original this is the best solution I found and the cheapest. $45 for adapter and $12 for new JAMMA harnass.

DK Harnesses are around. Check e-Bay too. Also you're Popeye CP harness will work on DK. It's the same harness.

Bob's got one at $30.....but you'd have to do all the terminations yourself.....or have someone do it:D.

Thanks everyone - I need to learn to subscribe to my own threads =)

JJ - this was actually to finish the gutted DK cab you sold me over in Louisville about a million years ago, thanks for the parts offer.

I ended up tracking down a converted DK that had morphed into the most amazing game of all time...8 Ball Action...Pool! With a joystick!...

I traded some parts for it so I basically got it for free and it's complete. Just swapped my board in and done. Only problems so far is I'm missing the digital sounds from the board -not sure if it's the board or the audio amp on the chasis (lots of crackle and hum from the speaker). Again, thanks all - can't wait to get some pictures up of the completed beast. I'll be putting some spare Nintendo parts up for sale soon.

Audio crackle and hum = recap the amp board in the monitor chassis (probably wouldn't hurt to do the entire monitor).

Missing digital sounds = a problem in the audio section of the motherboard.

Thanks Edward. I'd worried it was probably the board too. I fired it up this morning, sounded fine for about 5 minutes and then poof, gone. Just have the analog sounds now. Anyway, I won't hijack a WTB thread anymore with techincal stuff - if I run into any issues I'll throw them over in the tech section. Thanks all.

Did you try adjusting the pot on the PCB (CPU side) that adjusts the balance of digital and analog sounds?

I did. Still only the crash, bang, boom analog souds. And even then, they're very faint which is probably an artifact of the amp's need of a cap kit.

Cap that amp, it's only gonna get worse.....and can take out more stuff on the amp board. The other issue could be a flaky IC socket.

Reseated the EPROMs and now I have digital sound again, can't beat that. Ordered a cap kit for the amp, hope to have it in a few days. Thanks for the help all.
