Well, looks like I found one of my Grails, an upright Discs of Tron, but the PCB is not working properly, so that being said, I am hoping to find one... and find one working.

I have only been into collecting arcade machines for about 6 months or so, and I am not sure how probable it is to find a DOT PCB.. or what it may cost. I would even be willing to trade out my partial-working PCB for your fully working DOT PCB plus cash, after all I'm not looking to collect or make money on these PCB's, only get my grail of all grails working!

Any information on this to help me out would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure whether a EDOT PCB would work in an Upright, does anyone know? I'll ask in the regular forums. Here's a pic of my new game, I don't have it in person yet, but I should in a few weeks! :) I can't wait as this was one of my favorite games as a kid, and on top of that one that my wife remembers playing a lot and enjoys also.. the only other one that has helped to get her hooked into my hobby is DKjr up to this point....

Also, if anyone knows of someone who is RELIABLE and KNOWLEDGEABLE in repairing one, please let me know

If you have one for sale, please PM me, I don't want to compete with anyone else here who may want to just collect one..

Here she is:

It might help to know where you are located.

So you bought that off that guy from craigslist. I saw that ad last night. The game was working on his video.

What's wrong with the pcb? Is it just the sound?

I actually bought it about a week ago, he just hasn't taken the ad down.

It has some capacitors that are detached, intermittent sound problems, and the deflect button doesn't work (although who knows where the problem is with that, need to trouble shoot that).

I want the game to work 100%, and I don't do any PCB work myself, but I do have a repair guy that I trust to work on them.. but on this one I'd have to haul the cab about an hour away, and It's not easy since I don't have a good way to haul :) Plus I don't think he has worked on a lot of DOT's.

Welcome to DoT club. I love this game. As far as I know the PCBs in the upright and environmenal are the same except for a row of caps added to support speech. I had to add these as part of the saga to get mine talking.

Alex at Elecron Forge fixed a board for me which had been hacked a bit, and ultimately got fried by my incorrect hook-ups. If he accepts the job, you can be confident you'll receive a professionally repaired board back.

Here is the side-art. This became available just after I painstakingly touched mine up with paints. I still bought a set and will apply it someday.
