Does anyone have a picture of what this piece actually looks like?
Here are a couple of diagrams...

thanks for the pics @ThisOldGame

Is it one piece? Is it three pieces attached together?
Seems as it should be one piece as the speaker panel overlay's Ive seen are one long piece

My game doesnt seem to have this, there seems to be a separate perforated black insert over each speaker and nothing in the center.

Are there repro's of this piece or does anyone have a spare?

thanks!

It's a single piece of metal with a vinly overlay for the art / speaker mesh. @dj dns has one in his mega sale thread linked to google photos. I wish I had a good pic of mine, out of the cab, but I don't.

What you show in the 3 images is all you need. The missing part is a square of plexiglass that is set in the center which the speaker overlay holds in position. These commonly fall out because the overlay becomes brittle and cracks. Thus the plexi just falls out.

I know this because I owned one of these years ago and during transport someone jammed the brakes on the box truck, which pitched the game forward (There is a story in here that bends me sideways every time so I'm going to skip it) and ejected the plexi. Between that and someone sabotaging the game during the auction preview it was a bad day.

All you need is a square of plexiglass and a new overlay. Never mind it all, I misunderstood your question.

Ok so it's what I already show in my pictures, I just couldnt figure out how the one piece overlay worked since it appeared to be different sections of which I already had two of them and thought there was something that went in the middle. Looks like you have to remove all of it in order to replace the overlay. See the second video below

here is a pic of the entire section

you were actually correct. It is what I already have and Im told there was a piece of glass that went in the center section, others have said plexi. Havent seen a picture of the glass/plexi but that seems to be the case. My game just had a black cardboard piece attached in that section. lame :)

I came across this video that shows both the restoration of the marquee and the speaker panel. unfortunately it just shows pictures but it gives an idea of how it all comes together.

If its pics you need I got you covered. Here's my entire restoration album. In there I break down and rebuild the assembly.

*edit* scratch that. looks like you found some good example pics

That looks really good. I hope you didn't forget the piece of plexi behind the logo (labeled "shield" 040118-01 in the diagram you posted). That should be applied to the speaker grill assembly using double-sided tape before you put the vinyl overlay on.

Pro tip: If you have any gaffer's tape, now would be a good time to cover the back side of the speaker panels with it - with the exception of the part of the speaker grill which shows through. That will eliminate light transmission through the grill holes, which can be annoying.

when you say cover the backside of the speaker panel with gaffer's tape do you mean the same way he applied the tint around the Atari logo? In this case covering around the opening and leaving the diamond area of the speaker open right?

Do you need me to dig out what I have or are you good?
Hi @Charles Kline appreciate you checking. ,looks like i have the entire panel, just missing the piece of glass
anyone have the glass square that goes in the center?
thanks @Onji for the pics

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Just mask off the areas you don't want light shining through. You'll pretty much just end up leaving the diamond area of exposed speaker grill on each side. As far as hunting down that piece of glass, if you've got a spare piece of 1/8" plexi laying around, just cut one out. That's what I did. It's not critical that it be glass - it's just a clear square.
