I'm picking up RUSH #2 next week and will want to hook them up asap. Anyone know what I need to do this? I don't recall seeing it in the manual but I'll have to look again when I get home. Thanks

awesome - so that's it? I can grab at Radio shack around the corner then I bet. I thought it might be something specific to Atari.

pretty sure is ethernet cable. Crossover I think is used to connect 1 rush to another. If you want to connect more, I think you need. regular ethernet cables and a hub.

Cable is very common and not custom. Raido shack probably has it. I would think any computer store will sell it. Be careful when your moving linked games. a friend of mine told me they rolled over the cable in a rush 2049 and it fired both boards. I have seen people hook the cable high so they don't sit on the floor.

Also, there is a chance when you connect them, they will not work linked. I know crusin needs to match roms to work. I think its the same for rush. So you might need to buy some eproms too.

thanks mrBill I'll get crackin on the linking once I upgrade RUSH #1 to Alcatraz since #2 is Alcatrazzed already. One step at a time - will be picking it tomm or Weds.

I have my two linked.
You can use:
-crossover CAT (CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6) - machine to machine
-machine to straight through CAT cable to ethernet switch to straight through CAT cable to machine
-machine to straight through CAT cable to crossover converter to straight through CAT cable to machine

My machines both had straight through CAT cables rolled up inside. One machine even had the crossover converter in the manual packet.
Check inside the backs of the cabs!

Tip: took me a while to figure this out. You have to change the car colors so they are different on both machines or they won't link up.

As many have said it's as simple as a 568a to 568b crossover cable. Should be readily available or the crossover coupler should be at least. If you really get stuck with no easy options let me know and I can make one and send it to you for cost of postage.
