WTB: Cocktail sized B&W monitor

I think you can use a regular monitor. just combine the r,g,and b into one line and that will give you black and white.

So would I just twist the red, green, and blue wires together from the PCB and then just feed them into either the red, green, or blue of the monitor? Or do you have to feed a single line into all the red, green, and blue on the monitor?

sorry, I may have been completely wrong. i was remembering this thread that is specifically about replacing space invaders b&w monitor with a color one, and referenced using color monitors in atari football.

what game do you need a b&w for. I have a 12" b&w tv for a space invaders ct or mini.

I'm making a test bench and wanted to put a B&W monitor in the setup with my color monitor.

Brian if that trick works we can order a few of the molexes and make a b&W to color monitor adapter for testing purposes. I have one in my molex box but may use it to fix a broken plug on this space invaders kit I'm tinkering with.

Edit: Also if you're just using for test, just get a 13" tv with front av inputs on it. Thats all you need - its composite video. Make a nice long rca cable with clip leads at the end.
