Hi there,

I'm looking for a Centipede cocktail power brick. I need this specific brick because it can put out isolated 100V for a Sanyo monitor that I want to use. Please note that this brick is wired differently than the Centipede upright power brick.

Thanks,

Jude

I parted out a centipede cocktail. the brick was working when I pulled it. My only problem would be to ID the brick. I think I know where it is.

You sure about the brick being different? Is there a visible difference? Different part number?

Hi guys, thanks for the replies!

The only visible difference is the fact that the 15 pin socket on the brick is keyed differently on the cocktail vs. the upright. The upright has a keyed pin at pin 8, and the cocktail should have one at pin 11. (I don't have my documentation in front of me to look at the model #s)

The difference is that the upright model puts out only isolated 120V (actually two 60V outputs that are joined together) whereas the cocktail model puts out separate isolated 100V and 120V. (If you compare the schematics, the bricks put out identical voltages on pins 1-9, and things start looking different on pin 11.)

So yeah, they are different, but not that different. Both of them will run game logic, sound, etc in an identical fashion. However, if you want to run a 100V monitor on the upright brick, you are out of luck. :)
