I have a Boxer which I believe is manufactured by Jackal, but I have seen the exact same machine with Coney Island and Punchline brandings. It was working fine until the solenoid that releases the punching bag quit firing. If I send 12 volts directly to the solenoid, it will fire and release the bag. I suspect a PCB problem.

I have searched high and low and have not been able to located schematics for the board I have. I was able to find a nice write up that a gentlemen prepared regarding a restoration of a Coney Island boxer, which included a scan of the schematics, but his board is apparently a different version from mine. Although it is similar, the connections and pinouts are slightly different.

Does anyone have any schematics or a spare PCB? Thanks in advance for the help!

It maybe easier to just fix it then

get a schematic.

But while your waiting...

Take a photo of the component side

and those with experience seeing the component's

used on your board, may help to go straight to the likely part.

Also You will need to take the top off or get right up on the solenoid

and clean the stop pad good.. where its sits at.

after time it gets sticky and can hold the linkage

it maybe intermittent or never get from unstuck.

Its seem most use that..

So mechanical check and photo of boards.

At component level

Looking at the problem board is very helpful when troubleshooting

circuits. need to confirm it has voltage to the solenoid from the board.

look for fuse's.

Check these things out let us know.

If there's a schematic out there, I've yet to see one, and believe
me I've looked.

I've seen boards marked Rev 10 up to Rev 29. The Coney island use
a slightly different board design.

The release coil is energized by a relay on the board. The relay
is fired by a small transistor. The biggest problem is the traces on
the PCB tend to burn between the power connector, the relay and the
connector to the coil.

I have a mostly complete schematic for the Coney Island version,
if you want send me an E-Mail address.

I've actually toyed around with an idea of a plug and play replacement
board for the thing but don't know what kind of interest would actually
be there for it.

We had a dozen or so on route but we pulled them all and sold them
because of the liability when stupid kids miss the bag and break their
hands on the cabinet.

Do you still have any replacement parts for these? I'm also having trouble with the coin mech and DBA. Any help would be appreciated!

The coin mech and DBA work on their own but the board is not sending the the signal to and from each part?
And its not in free play?

I used to fine bad connection all over the display board to the control board
Got a photo of you control board and signal pins to Coin mech?
Luk what you found?

I am a Route Operator the pulse is sending out but even a 150ms pulse won't trigger. But when I touch wires together it works. Also need to fix a light in display.

Thats odd,
You can try those in another same game?
I guess they are working good.

You short the enable line to ground return on the wire's
and it coins up or insert money in DBA.
You shorting at the Board connector area..
Got a photo of the control board.

One I have on route used 1980 fiat starter solenoid. Machine was made in Poland.

Similar to the OP, I believe my board is the same as in some Coney and Punchline machines. Mine is made by Dawpol. Had a service tag from Coney Island on it, from 2012. I have been in touch with and bought a speed sensor and punch bag from Manny Cohen of Coney Island (coneyislandarcade dot com)
(C.I.A. Sales
4545 W. Hacienda Ave, # 106
Las Vegas, NV 89118 tel: 702-522-7300). Maybe he can help some of you, he does have some parts.

However, Manny can't help with wiring or troubleshooting, really.

I'm getting noise out of the speaker, have a bad display (need to source, verified it's bad by swapping wiring between identical displays), and can't seem to start a game. I adjusted #20 in setup to "1" which should be free play, and it does display "1" for credits, which is correct, I think. But it will not start the game. Switches all check good. I believe I have some wires/connectors in the wrong positions, or a board problem. Or possibly the wrong board for this machine?

Looking for schematic, wiring diagram, more information - anything! I'll try to attach pics of what I have.

I do have one more thing to try when I go back, now that I've slept on it. I really haven't tried to coin up, just assumed I was in "free play", since I changed adjustable #20 to "1". Maybe I have the wrong paperwork, #20 isn't what I'm thinking, so I will try to find the coin wiring and actually coin it up. The wiring is a mess and the bill acceptor is missing the bill box, but I could try another one. If it will give me credits and start the game, I will be satisfied and maybe not even worry about the second display not working.

Well crap, another realization looking through my pics. Maybe this board was never repaired. The tag mentions the same problems I'm still having, though I haven't tested the bill acceptor yet. I am betting it won't work and won't credit.

I have many more pictures if they can be of any help to anyone. Let me know, I'm happy to send them.20240929_173806.jpg20240913_195625.jpg20240929_173759.jpg

Just updating here. I did try to short the start button connectors at the board, still won't start a game.
I confirmed I was in free play mode, but I was also able to credit through the coin mech. No matter how many credits, it won't start the game. What am I missing here?

Another update, I contacted the manufacturer in Poland and someone responded. We haven't gotten together yet because of the time difference, but there's hope.

I'm wondering about the schematic you found from Coney Island. It may be what I've been looking for my board. My machine is called Boxer Standard, built by Polish manufacturer DawPol or Natpol. 20241015_161109.jpg20241015_161348.jpg

I am not sure that I ever printed the schematic and unfortunately lost the link to this info. I will check to see if I somehow printed and placed it in the cabinet, but I dont think I did.

Wish I could be of more assistance

Thanks anyway, newsherriffintown. I got the correct manual from Natpol on Facebook.
I don't know why the guy stopped responding to my emails, but I went on a contact frenzy, and sent messages on social media until someone responded. With the correct manual, I made progress and the game will start, but the sound is still missing, only noise, and the solenoid doesn't engage. I like my chances with the solenoid, but I'm not sure about the sound problem. Maybe the manufacturer could send me the audio file and I could program a new chip?
*The solenoid is NOT the round Fiat starter type, it's got a side bolt configuration.
I'm updating all this information here for anyone else that might be looking.

Ok it's pending
I will post it here on thread
All it has is troubleshooting
No schematic have to find some voltages test
Points on the boards

Turns out I didn't need a schematic. Resetting the board to factory settings went a long way, and allowed me to start a game. Next.

New sensor from Manny didn't fit, my machine is too old, I think. I had to bend it, use a longer bolt, etc. Made it work. Next.

Ordered a sound chip from Poland. Sela Polska on FB helped me order. $30 part, $70 shipping. Oof.
Wish I had ordered an arm protector..I now have a busted knuckle, 'nother oof, and slow typing, ha! Too many test punches, and I guess I missed slightly high once! Anyway, game works, sound too. Next.

Pricing still giving me fits. Sela unable to help unless maybe if I send a video and I'm thinking about it. Frustrating.
Coin pricing is correct, 4 coins = 1 credit , 4 meter clicks. Perfect.
Bill pricing: $1 = 1 credit and 4 meter clicks, perfect. $20 = 10 credits and 40 meter clicks. What?!
