looking to buy the blitz/showtime combo hard drive asap. Might be getting a nfl blitz 99 on saturday and want to upgrade. Let me know what you have.

you would need more than just a HD to upgrade to the combo, the combo runs off the Vegas 777 hardware, whereas the 99 runs off seattle hardware and not compatible, unless they made a combo version for the seattle hardware (which Im unaware off)

yes, the combo board is vegas only. The best you can do is blitz 2000 on seattle pcb.

I don't think the 99 cab(seattle) is 100% compatible with combo (vegas). There may be some mods needed to make it work.

Your looking at $250-$350 for a combo board, so keep that mind. If your buying an upgraded board(converted gauntlet), make sure it has the right video card. You also want the mounting plate as the vegas board needs 3 fans.

that sucks, the seller said all it needs is a combo hd and everything will work just fine.

Take picture of the board and we can tell you if it's a Seattle or Vegas hardware. But, to my knowledge Blitz 99 was never offered on Vegas hardware :(

blitz 99 works with vegas hardware. I don't know if its 100%, but I knew an op tht bought a converted showtime cab. It was running blitz. I did not notice it was 99, until he brought it to me to fix it. It was running, but I did not play it comepletely. It had a 99 security chip and HDD. The roms I think were missing labels. I swapped it to blitz/showtime and it works fine now. I would assume someone just shoved a leftover 99 kit into the cab.
