I just picked up an Atari Tempest Cocktail yesterday

I want to restore the cabinet and keep this in my personal collection

Unfortunately it is missing the top glass

I was told that someone reproduced the glass with the original graphics. An aftermarket underlay would also work as I can get the glass reproduced if need be

I cannot find the glass with graphics or an underlay so if anyone has any leads and can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated

Thank You!!!

I was wondering who might have picked this up. It was a smakin' deal before your seller flipped it.

Good luck with your search.
Thank You!

I was really excited to get it and agree it was a great deal!

I have to thank Jon Jamshid for the heads up on this.

It is definitely staying with me in my personal collection which is why I would really like to find the correct graphics for it.

PhoenixArcade (Darin Jacobs) reproduced the glass ~8-ish years ago. It was about $350+shipping back then. Not sure if you could convince him to do another run of them or not (depending on demand), but I'd guess it would be $400 or more now.....

I sent him a message to see if he would do another run.

Thanks for the info!

Hey Bobby... idk if this is good enough to work with... there is a .png for Space duel, but this is the best I could find for Tempest.

Maybe @kcorcoran can work with this to clean it up and reverse print it for you to wet mount it on the bottom of a piece of replacement tempered glass that you can source from a local glass shop?

I'm not certain of the actual dimensions, as my CT is 650miles away ATM. You would need to source a piece of tempered glass in the proper length, width, corner radius and thickness WITH A PENCIL EDGE from a local glass shop.

If @kcorcoran can print you a suitable print, he can refer you to a video he made of the wet mounting process.

You can measure the L and W and corner Rad.... maybe another member can report a good measurement for the thickness.... if nobody does, I can measure and report back next week. I'll be home for 10 days.

If necessary, I can also measure the Gross length and width of the artwork to get proper scaling for the print.

LMK how I can help

~Dylan

Dylan,

I found that same image a few nights ago and may have to use it as a last resort. It needs a lot of cleaning up but I will message @kcorcoran and see what he has that he is willing to share.

I am still hoping to find someone who purchased a reproduction glass that is willing to let it go.

I also emailed Darrin at Phoenix to see if he would consider doing another run.

I appreciate the info and thanks for helping out!!!
