Last Star Wars at Super auction went for over 900 and had issues. Add approx 23% in taxes and fees and you get about 1200 bucks. This one had busted corner and a 6100. Oh yeah, it was a buy back. (Not mine)
Amplifone monitor is almost impossible to find complete. Working is another thing. These sell for anywhere from $400 on up depending on condition. New tubes for amps alone sold for $325. Yokes alone have sold for almost $100. Flybacks are different prices but I won't get into that. HV and Deflection boards need to be rebuilt and modified to ensure reliability. Working Star Wars board sets sell for $250-$325 minimum and these are just working and not shopped or tested. Keeping a Star Wars boardset running is not an easy task. 3 different boards make up the stack and each one has its own problem areas. Then you have to figure the cost of rebuilding ARII boards, power bricks, yokes, cabinet repair, coin mechs blah blah blah and you find that people don't really want to give away something that has taken them a lot of time and money to put together. If you want one cheap, wait 5 years like I did before I got my first one. It still has a giant hole in the side of the cabinet.
I have managed to trade or acquire several cabinets over the past 10 years and had to wheel and deal to get them. I expect you will have to do the same unless you get lucky on craigslist.
Best of luck. BTW working cockpits go anywhere from $2250 on up depending on monitors.
