WTB: Atari Star Wars arcade in the Dallas / Fort Worth area

I'm looking for a Star Wars vector game.
I'm not looking to make someone rich so please keep it real.

PM me with details.

Thanks

I've seen 2 or 3 of these things down here (or nearby) lately, and all seemed to be about $1000....

...

$700-$1000 range? with a 6100 probably.
Amplifone raises the price quote a bit and condition.

I personally think Star Wars Range from $800-$1800.

Jon

So what's the big deal with the ampliphone monitors? I know they are built better then the 6100 but is that it?

What are the cockpit ranges?

Last Star Wars at Super auction went for over 900 and had issues. Add approx 23% in taxes and fees and you get about 1200 bucks. This one had busted corner and a 6100. Oh yeah, it was a buy back. (Not mine)

Amplifone monitor is almost impossible to find complete. Working is another thing. These sell for anywhere from $400 on up depending on condition. New tubes for amps alone sold for $325. Yokes alone have sold for almost $100. Flybacks are different prices but I won't get into that. HV and Deflection boards need to be rebuilt and modified to ensure reliability. Working Star Wars board sets sell for $250-$325 minimum and these are just working and not shopped or tested. Keeping a Star Wars boardset running is not an easy task. 3 different boards make up the stack and each one has its own problem areas. Then you have to figure the cost of rebuilding ARII boards, power bricks, yokes, cabinet repair, coin mechs blah blah blah and you find that people don't really want to give away something that has taken them a lot of time and money to put together. If you want one cheap, wait 5 years like I did before I got my first one. It still has a giant hole in the side of the cabinet.

I have managed to trade or acquire several cabinets over the past 10 years and had to wheel and deal to get them. I expect you will have to do the same unless you get lucky on craigslist.

Best of luck. BTW working cockpits go anywhere from $2250 on up depending on monitors.

Auction prices are often screwy, especially when buy backs are involved.
Thats just the seller fishing for a whale.

Not necessarily. The seller could have a lot of money in the game or other deals pending outside the auction in which they could make more money.

I was taking the "Last Star Wars at Super auction went for over 900 and had issues" to mean there was not allot of money put into the game. But I could be wrong.

Thanks for everyones advice, and pms!

The search is officially over, I picked up my star wars yesterday!

Cabinet is in great shape, no water damage, Monitor (6100) looks great, Plays Great and A Great Price!

Just what I was looking for!

Thanks Again!

Wait for it......... $750 :D

plus a nice 3.5 hour drive to OKC and 3.5 hour drive back to Dallas.

Based on my research I felt this one was a no brainer.

I could add all new artwork and still be under $1150.

Too good to pass up.

Sure looks $300 better than mine. :) Im still am having crappy monitor issues..anyways..

Congrats!

You going to stick a ESB kit inside? I know I want one.

What? No value on time? Tisk tisk.... :D

I thought about that, but I figure it all depends on whether you took time from your job to do it or not.

I plan to go to Dallas on Sunday to pick up a game from Channelmanic, and won't count time in the cost, as I'd most likely be sitting on my ass if I wasn't doing it....
