WTB: (Atari) MECOM coincounters (7-digit)

What Atari game is that service panel from?

I'm wondering if those counters were Europe-specific. I've never seen one of those on an Atari game here in the US.

Pretty sure I turned up one of these -- and only one -- while inventorying my random parts recently. No idea where it came from.

I can't imagine it'd be worth the trouble and expense to ship one coin counter from me in Kentucky to Austria... but if the OP is serious, they're welcome to message me.

Good question. That utility panel is different than the ones I've documented too. I don't recognize it. Usually Atari put push buttons on them. And the part number for it (041654-01) doesn't turn up any manuals in Google.

Yeah, that's another reason I'm thinking it's a Euro-only game or cab variant.

I'm super curious. Hopefully @Darius can tell us.

Hi, Sorry i thought i mentioned it in one of my Threads...these Mecom Coincounters i`m looking for are for my Dragons Lair Euro Version. I have also a Space Ace Euro Version which is completely identical to DL and from this Cabinet i have the Sample Photos.
I bought the DL Cabinet as Project - it was converted to any other Game..no idea...Wiring was hacked, Marquee and CP were completely black overpainted. LD Player and Service Panel was missing.
My friend reproduced the Service Panel now (Laser cutted) - it looks identical now to Space Ace...i have all other parts except both Mecom Coincounters.
Sorry, i`m a Purist and really want the original Coincounters...no alternatives.
The only option would be the one 6V Coincounter from RusselMania...i saw a second on ebay....must think about - Thanks in advance for checking your inventory.
i couldn`t imagine that is such a Challenge to find these Coincounters...many Atari Cabinets used it...i have it on my Pole Position also but with 12 Volts.

Bumping cuz I found one for you 😝😁😝😝

Interesting, a Tempest mini just popped up for sale that looks like it has one of these.

Not sure what the story is behind it, as I've never seen a Tempest with anything besides the standard counters. Maybe @Gregolso can provide more info on its background.

Hum, I never really noticed the coin counter being different. It came from a family that had an Atari employee back in the day and they had it in their basement since then. (Hopefully im remembering that right).
