Due to an accident during prep for powder coating I need a couple of coin door frames for a Gauntlet cabinet. (They ran them through some sort of heater or furnace to get the old paint to lift and it ended up turning the pot metal frames into two mounds of slag).

I'd prefer just the frames and close to save on shipping, but will consider others if I can't find the stripped frames somewhere close.

Thanks,

- JM

Wow, you must have had that furnace pretty dang hot. Not sure if they are (were) die cast zinc, but if so the melting point is nearly 800°F...

FWIW, I have had success removing paint from coin doors & frames by soaking them a day or three in Pine Sol. Most of it falls off in big sheets. A little rinsing and scrubbing takes off the rest.

Picked up a set of frames from one guy and am working on a trade with someone else for a complete spare door.

Thanks to everyone who PM'd or posted about them.

He said he was going to save the two piles of left over frame. If he did then I'll take a picture of them to post.

I'll also ask how hot he had it when he ran them through there.

Glad it was stuff that was east to replace.
