WTB: Atari CatBox

There is one on ebay at a reasonable price.

Thank you for the tip but that particular CatBox is some sort of prototype and doesn't have all functions covered in the manual, besides I don't think it has been tested so I'd say that in my view it is *way* overpriced.

Last one (was complete, tested working and with checksum modification (and not a prototype)) went at a much lower price about a month ago.

Might be easier if you just state what you're prepared to pay for one. Someone might be tempted to let one go if they see a nice enough offer.

I agree that is one odd ball CAT box. I am not sure if it was rebuilt by someone or what. It is missing functions and does not have the front Atari decal. That price is on the high side for sure.

as usual, the background is the most interesting part...

I'll take what it's sitting on though, or even better - what's supposed to be sitting right where the Cat Box is ;)

Ummm. not that one. Item number 110701103306 for $650.

I'm talking about 2 different items here. One sold for about a month ago for $510 and was complete with cables etc., with checksum modification and was tested working (and, above all - it was a production model).

The other one were offered on Ebay just a short while after the one above and is the one on Ebay again right now, and this is some sort of prototype as it does not have all functionality covered in the CatBox manual. Last time it was offered it received zero bids for $650 and so far this time it is the same. Last time it was on Ebay it was also offered here (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=181218&highlight=catbox) and for $550 (I still think this is way to expensive since it doesn't have all the functionality of the production model).
