Im looking for American Laser games stuff. I would love to find a mad dog mccree kit. I am also looking for the arcade version of the 3d0 and the arcade cd's that go with it

crime patrol mad dog McCree

I have the laser disc for Mad dog.
I have the logic boards for crime patrol.
Here is a picture of the game boards in action.
Speaking of action, i have a Casino Strip that i forgot what it was about until i put it in the laser disc player. Horrible acting in that one!

I wonder how hard it would be to find a mad dog marquee and logic pcb as im getting a full working crime patrol i would love to have the mad dog kit and crime patrol 2 kit

I have all the 3DO discs, but no light gun!

I recall every time I saw those American Laser Games in an arcade they were the huge projection units! Was there a regular cabinet version???

There was a regular upright but its slightly taller than your average game and it has a 25 inch monitor. The one Im getting is like the one in the flyer below

Is your 3d0 disc the arcade version or the home version

The logic boards are simply Amiga 500 computer boards with a ROM daughter card that holds a couple of ROMs, a PROM, and an NVRAM chip. The daughter card plugs into the edge connector on the motherboard.

You missed out by a year or so... I had a whole stash that I sold off.

If I recall correctly, the LD version of Mad Dog McCree used a different configuration than the other "kit" ALG titles, like Crime Patrol, CP2, Mad Dog 2, etc. I'm sure there are others better than me to ask, but Mad Dog may have also used different wiring as well.

If you're sticking to the 3DO setup, I think you're fine. However if your Crime Patrol is the LD version, then you may need to swap more than just the disc/rom board to play Mad Dog.

The version of crime patrol I'm getting tomorrow is the laser disc version but I'm going to now just start collecting American laser game stuff and will eventually get all the laser disc and 3do hardware

Still looking for ALG stuff? I've got a 'showcase' cab that needs a lot of love, it's salvageable but I don't have the time or space. It was the home of an Area 51 conversion. It even has the glass with the ALG logo - empty cab with rails and pedestal - Free ~4 hours from you.
