WTB: A Degaussing Coil!

So, it looks like my coil really did get lost during the recent move. I have a couple of cabs to degauss, and the damn thing is nowhere to be found.

Does anyone an extra one hanging around that they would be willing to part with? :D

I can testify that a bulk tape eraser (which is what was suggested as a substitute for a degaussing coil) doesn't work nearly as well as the real thing.

I couldn't say one way or another for a soldering gun but at this point I'm through trying to McGyver it and just use the real thing.

You can buy nice new ones for $30 delivered... (what I did).
 
I tried it, and the gun worked well. I'm still having trouble getting about an inch in left corner back to normal, but I should be able to work it out.

Any specific technique that works well with the gun method? I'm used to making circles with the coil.
