WTB: 72-pin pcb-mount edge connector for Midway 8080

hey all, i'm looking for a better replacement for a Midway 8080 "L" boardset interconnect... it was a black 72-pin edge connector (.156"/3.96mm spacing, 2 36pin rows)

i bought this from china, but the blades are way too big for the pcb holes, and i'd really like to avoid modifying all those fragile pins

round mounting holes would be preferred, but if anyone knows any for sale besides the china-direct ones on ebay please let me know

thanks

Like the one pictures, to create an "L" with the two boards at 90 degrees? Then yeah thatd be sweet!

I've seen some with long pins that make a bend, making the connector 90 degrees and the two boards parallel, which is not what i want

Edit: i guess i shoulda taken a pic of just the connector before removing from the main board in a million pieces

Not to thread jack, but did you replace your harness edge connectors? I went through mine and bent the pins in, and it's working intermittently...I'd like a more permanent and reliable solution.

Not yet, i'm still waiting for new (non-AMP) ones for my harness to show up, then i will...

I'll also be wiring one to an ATX power supply to make a bench testing rig so i can work out of the cabinet easier (and i'm told i can use a color tv's composite video input but have yet to verify)

This is a different edge connector than this thread is about, i have a SW repair thread going here:

Hmm Riptor, got these in today which is cool, they don't fit either though! Not only do they have "wide" blades as well that don't fit in the holes, but the spacing between the rows of pins isn't correct for this board...

board measures .140 row spacing, my china connector was a little wide at about .160 spacing (maybe .156 spacing, like the lengthwise pin spacing) and this new one is like .215 spacing!

So for everyone else, bump cuz i guess i'm still looking
and riptor, thanks for the try but i'm probably going to have to return these :(

What board are you working on specifically? Those connectors you got from me were left over from the omega race repro board project. They are .156 spacing if I remember correctly.

8080 36/72 pin connector

Ditto. They don't fit board version 900E either.

Pins are too big though spaced properly, and the row spacing is too wide.

I'm taking a chance on a purchase from Hong Kong on another one. Just waiting for it to arrive. I'm sure it'll be the same result but it was only $7.

If all else fails, I may try solder jumpers to each pin, then solder those to the board, and use a 1/2" spacer on each side of the connector and bolt it to the board for stability.

There are two different row spacings on these connectors. Space Invaders deluxe used a .200 spacing. Space invader boards used .156", I believe.
I have a few of both sizes in stock but only have the .200 listed on the website at the moment.
