I'm looking for a 29" or 27" Arcade monitor to fit in my Blast City. From what i know, 27" and 29 " are same size. Let me know what you have, I prefer someone in area close to driving distance from Green Bay, WI. But if your willing to ship, let me know. Thanks

Can you get me measurements on that 27" you have? From what i've heard 27" and 29" are the same size, its just measure differently in japan and usa. Thanks

US 27 is JPN 29, for some stupid reason.

PS: How many places were you going to post this? lol

I'm gonna post it in as many places as possible : ) I would take your 25" monitor but theres going to be fitment issues.

you also need to check the actual curve of the tube as some wont fit without some modification to the bezel or by dropping the tube further back from the frame, I have a brand new Sanwa 29" VGA but sadly its flat screen so wouldnt fit easily, I have put other nanao's into Blast cities before but you are most likely going to need to change the frame the donor and also space the frame back an inch to at least fit into the cabinet and retain the bezel (even thou the spacing wont be 100%) a D9200 will fit, but again will need to adjust things to make it fit, nothing is true factory look unless you get same monitor, and with most of the tri res monitors failing :(

I have been thinking about parting a game i have here since the cab is just too big. It has a 29" in it I believe. Its a House of the Dead cab, if that interests you any. Only thing missing is board set, guns and marquee.
PM if interested

Really? Sanwa 29" won't fit blast city? from looks of curvature its very close to my nanao ms2930.

some monitors are close but give a little gap in places, and thats with dropping back the frame 1/2" I have had probably 6 of these and done monitor swaps on all but 3 I think and wish it was easy to find a drop in replacement, you would think other SEGA cabinets that use the same size monitor and era would be same, but my luck hasnt been so :(

the sanwa I have is pure flat screen, no curve, yeah would fit but would look goofy with bezel, friend did make a plexi screen for his and then mount a flat monitor behind that, looks nice! but lots of work

Thanks you've been very helpful. The sanwa monitor i'm actually thinking about putting in the Blast city is actually the Sanwa 29e31S. Do you have any experience with those inside blast cities? I know they are semi flat monitors and I believe fit inside sega Net city. Whats the difference between semi flat and semi curved ?

that is the monitor I put in a Blast City recently came out of a Naomi Cabinet, will fit but wont sit true to bezel, will give a little gap in areas but isnt that bad, will need to switch frames (well I had to!) and also mount it back about 1/2" from the frame, so where the frame bolts to the actual cabinet and where the frame bolts to the tube space that backwards about 1/2" and should be okay

How do I move the frame back 1/2"? I've heard of using spacers to move it forward but don't know how to move it backwards.

well the actual frame that bolts to the cabinet you cant move easily so between the actual tube and the part of the frame that bolts to cabinet use a spacer and a longer bolt this will move the actual tube itself back the required amount

wouldn't using a spacer on the frame move the tube forward towards the viewer? When you say move the tube back, I"m picturing moving adjusting the tube deeper into the cab and away from the viewer. I'm a little confused because by adding spacers to the back of the frame that should move the tube forward.

the metal part of the monitor frame that bolts to the blast city cabinet remains the same but where that part bolts to the actual tube, use longer bolts and a 1/2" spacer or more to move the entire tube/chassis back from the bezel by required amount as if you just install the frame onto the new monitor the bezel will not fit, as the tube is too high

Ahhh... gotcha. Thanks for the tip. Seems like a easy enough modification. In theory though it should fit fine if I decide not to use the stock bezel or swap for a different curved bezel from sega. So basically the only problem when mounting this monitor is the stock bezel with not fit. Everything else should fit ? Thanks for your help, I've learned alot.

yeah the actual black bezel that fits into the cabinet has a very unique curve and thus replacing monitor with a different one will not fit as flush, with dropping monitor back 1/2" then its pretty damn close, as for different bezels not sure they actually make those!?!?

well good luck with it, they are such fun versatile cabinets, I had the Model 3 to JAMMA harness in mine (have a spare if you went that route) and ran a NAOMI in the cabinet running VERT schumps :)

Sega does make 3 different bezels because they used 3 different monitors on the different cabs they produce. But Its probally impossible to find. The places I've checked are all sold out and don't plan on restocking.

How much does your Sanwa PFX sell for ? I've heard this would fit with some mods because its a flat screen. From pics I"ve seen this is a beautiful monitor, are these tri sync or only 31K ? I think that a Sanwa PFX would work if I install it and used plexiglass mounted on the bezel to hide the gaps.

Did you ever get a new monitor? I'm interested to see how it turned out.
