WTB: 25" P538 K7000 chassis

The K7400/K7500/U2000/U5000 yokes are split like someone cut them too. They are not made as 2 separate housings. They were cut in the factory because the yoke was shipped with a solid connector and those chassis' didn't have the two sets of yoke pins in a single line like the K7000.

That being said, the mounting under the tube looks like a K7000 all right, but the yoke doesn't really look like a WG K7000 yoke. It might be a Zenith K7000A yoke which will work with a regular K7000 chassis...

Hadn't thought of the K7000A. Testing the resistance will give you an idea if it will work if you don't find any numbers.

OK. Again, for the ultra-newbs like me out there... :)

Where exactly do I test the resistance. I have a multimeter and looked up how to use it to test the resistance, but I'm not exactly sure which "parts" to test.

Again, thanks for the help and patience. I'm a software guy, so unless it has a keyboard attached, I am pretty helpless (as you can see!)... :(

Just put the meter probes in the connector ends. Having yours split makes it easier as you don't have to figure out which two go together. It will give you the resistance of each of the yokes coils. That's the number you need.

Almost there...

OK, I finally got my freetime back... I have all the pieces, and thanks to your help, I think I know what I am doing. The last piece is the isolation transformer. Can you help me make sure I don't fry myself by hooking up wires to the wrong spots on this bad boy? The attacment is a shot of the transformer. Thanks again for all of your help...
